Cypress Hills & Highland Park, Brooklyn

Cypress Hills occupies the easternmost nook of Brooklyn, on the border of Queens. Highland Park is in both counties and offers glimpses, through decades of tree growth, of the Manhattan skyline from high ground.
There are many sumptuous homes along Highland Blvd. The most iconic structure in the area is the onion-domed Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church (1835). Not to be missed is a fabulous high school, P.S. 108 on Linwood St. built in 1895 by James W. Naughton, sporting Romanesque Revival arches.
