Fordham University, Rose Hill, Bronx, New York, New York

Fordham University was founded in 1841 as St. John's College by the Catholic Diocese of New York at the present Rose Hill location in Fordham ("ford by the hamlet").  In 1907 the school was renamed Fordham Univ.  It has been a Jesuit institution since 1846.  The Collegiate Gothic buildings are mostly designed by Emile G. Perrot between 1911 - 1930.
